Live on Radio National from Woodford Folk Festival!

Had an absolute BALL at Woodford Folk Festival – officially launching the Permaculture Ukulele Show with the fabulous Mal Webb, Alex Burkoy (Tinpan Orange/Julia Stone), Tim Bennett, Penelope Swales and electro swing buffoon DJ HAP joining me for the occasion!

We were fortunate enough to be invited on air by ABC Radio National’s John Stokes to perform a song and talk about the project to a nationwide audience. Take a listen to the interview below:

Milkwood Permaculture & Sydney Tour

Just finished up a great tour around NSW of Sydney, Wollongong and Milkwood Permaculture in Mudgee! Big ups to Kirsten Bradley from Milkwood, Monique Unger from Permaculture Sydney North, Cath Blakey from the Flametree Food Co-op and my mate CelloJoe for a rockin couple of gigs on a pedal powered amp! Hope to see you again soon, Sydney (and Milkwood!) [read the full story here]

Pedal-powered gigs with CelloJoe (USA)

Just finished a fun week in Sydney playing a few gigs with a new friend, CelloJoe from Berkeley, California who travels around the world on a bicycle with a pedal-powered amp beatboxing with loops, playing funky cello and singin/hip-hoppin’ about conscious living & things like permaculture!

I’ll be touring with Joey in Victoria in January, so if you’re around Melbourne, come on down to Gertrude’s Brown Couch in Fitzroy on Wed the 16th from 8-11pm and Bar 303 in Northcote on Sun the 20th for a chilled arvo set from 3pm. We’re both playing at Rainbow Serpent Festival and Fest La Frog (a totally rad organic/biodynamic sustainable music festival on French Island off the Mornington Peninsula!)

More info soon on my Facebook page (which if you haven’t ‘liked’ by now, you really oughta! 🙂
