Formidable Vegetable just finished up a massive week at the United Nations FAO’s World Food Forum with Indigenous Kimberley Desert rock/reggae group Family Shoveller Band, where they were unexpectedly invited to do a feature spot at the grand finale event.

As an acknowledgement of Country (which was interesting to do in Rome!) and prelude to Family Shoveller Band’s ‘Wyirrt Wyirrt (Food of the Country)’ – a contemporary collaboration on a traditional song sung by the Shoveller’s great-great-great-great grandmother- the entire UN FAO plenary hall was co-opted into a Eurovision-style permaculture dance-party to FoVeg’s ‘Thank You For The Food’ while past and present heads of the UN FAO were stranded on stage after accepting accolades. The cameras were rolling, so all there was left for them to do was dance!

Turns out a few of them had some great moves!
