Making an explosive comeback at the recent Nannup Music Festival, Formidable Vegetable went to town with an extended 11-piece live EDM dance orchestra, turning it on for a crowd of thousands at southwest WA’s best weekend music festival. With Dave Mann on electric guitars, vocal diva Jaime Jackett (The Belle Miners), Kylie Morrigan on strings, percussion & drums from Olly Watkins and Rhian Thomas, Mark Cresp on synth, a full horn section consisting of Mal Webb, Mayuka Juber and Kevin Jones and the electronic backbone of B-Reel Quinlan on the beets (doubling herself with live illustrated projections) with Charlie Mgee bellowing out participatory lyrical facilitation and uke, this was one lineup not to forget. If the music industry wasn’t so impossible to navigate right now, this band would be hitting the festival circuit in a heartbeat!
