It’s been almost a decade since Formidable Vegetable played at the world’s biggest music festival in the UK, so when the UK’s Glastonbury Festival called to invite them back again in 2025, it was hard to say no.

But say no they did back in 2019 when, after being invited to play, the band cancelled an entire world tour because, well, the world was literally on fire – a decision that ultimately helped get their message out there further when the BBC got wind and let the entire world know about it.

Deciding to fly again after almost 7 years has been a tough and ethically-nuanced decision for the band and, given the current state of the world, possibly a terrible mistake. However, instead of living under a nice, green, moss-covered rock for the rest of their musical lives, Formidable Vegetable have made the call to spend three months overseas in Europe and the UK playing at massive festivals like Glasto, Boomtown, Camp Bestival and Knockengorroch as well as slow-touring to far-flung communities & events from Ireland to Slovakia to sing and dance-up good things like permaculture, gardening, ecological restoration, social cohesion and a liveable planet for everyone.

More dates and announcements will be made over on the Upcoming Shows page, but here is the gist of the tour so far. With festival names like “Green Scythe Fair” and “Radical Baker’s Gathering“, it’s sure to be a juicy one!
